Penguin's Story

Hello, my name is Penguin.

Our litter was born in the rescue on May 6th. Why is my name after a flightless bird, you might ask? Well actually, I was named after Batman's nemesis Penguin. We were all named after Batman villains. But don't let that fool you! We are nothing but little fluff balls of sweetness energy!

Mom is smaller, only around 35 pounds. She looks like a corgi but with longer legs. Her litter looks more like Australian Shepards though. We never knew what dad was.

The rescue doesn't understand how a few of us haven't been adopted. We are SO SMART, ADORABLE, and SWEET. I am a little more reserved at first, so I bark when I first meet strangers. But once I get to know you, I just want to play and be loved on. I love being around other dogs and the rescue has no doubt I would do well with cats. I can get a little rambunctious but with a proper routine and training, I would make a wonderful addition to any family!

I am up to date on all my shots, neutered, and microchipped.

**Meet and greets are performed with every potential adoption. We prefer that all adoptions that go through the rescue are "foster to adopt." Both measures assures that the human/s and the canine/s are a good fit and there are no immediate concerns.

The adoption process always starts with an adoption application. Once approved, that application can be used for any of our animals for up to a year from the date on the application. Then we schedule a meet n greet. If all goes well we sign adoption papers, however we also may sometimes suggest a foster to adopt to make sure the animal is a proper fit for the home and vise versa.
