Penelope aka Penny

Penelope is a shy girl who came from an unfortunate situation. Her owner passed away and had multiple dogs, Penny being the most submissive and calm. She got used to hiding and finding a safe space away from the younger dogs, and that is what she tries to find in any new environment. We keep a leash on her in the house so that you can always find her and retrieve her if she manages to sneak under a chair or table. Once she is comfortable though (and she seems to warm up to ladies faster), she will seek affection and loves being up on the couch and snuggling. She will even "paw" at you for more pets if you stop too soon. For 13 years old, she has perfect bloodwork, recently had a dental, and has lots of spunk left. In fact, she is great on a walk.
