She is available for adoption throughout much of the United States thanks to our transport program. <br/><br/>Penelope is a sweet and gentle 6-year-old Chihuahua with a loving soul, who weighs about 15 pounds. Penelope's world was turned upside down when she and her lifelong companion were surrendered to the Tahoka Animal Control. <br/><br/>Sadly, her friend passed away, and Penelope is now learning to navigate life as a solo act. Her journey has made her a little shy at first, but with a quiet, patient home, her loving personality shines through. Penelope is dog-friendly and would do well with a calm companion who can show her the ropes. She needs a little time to acclimate to new surroundings, but once she feels safe, she's an affectionate little shadow, happy to be by your side.<br/><br/>Penelope is just starting to discover the joy of being a dog.
