Penelope's Story
Penelope was a breeder release to a shelter, we think maybe because she's a mix. She was brought in with 2 other older rat terriers. Penelope is only about 2 years old and she weighs about 9 pounds. She also had heartworms, but has gone through the treatment, so she's clear now. Penny is an adorable little girl. Her foster mom said that Penny makes her laugh every day with her antics. Penelope has had all of her shots and been spayed, so she's ready for her new home. She's very playful and gets along with other dogs. She likes to play with children, but prefers older children who know how to handle small dogs. She does chase cats if they run, but has never been aggressive. She's crate trained, but prefers to be on her owners lap. Penelope has beautiful coloring, mostly black and white with a little bit of brown mixed in. She has a little fluff since she's a mix, we think with a pomeranian. Penny is such a sweet girl and loves to give kisses.. She's done really well with pottying outside. She loves to cuddle on your lap and get belly rubs.

In order to adopt, you need to send an e-mail to rescue@secondchancepoms.org asking for an application. After you send this back, we will check references and someone will visit you in your home to discuss adoption. We ask a donation of $400 for adults, and $450 for puppies. This covers shots, spay/neuter, and any medical treatment when needed, such as de-worming, dental, heartworm treatment, and repairing broken bones. We do not ship our pomeranians, but an out-of-state adoption can still happen if the adopter comes to the Houston, TX area to pick up their pom.
