Meet Peluche, a smart and affectionate Mini Australian Shepherd with a gentle, loving heart.<br/><br/>Peluche is a 3-year-old, 35-pound blue merle Mini Australian Shepherd with bright blue eyes and a true lapdog soul. His name, Peluche, means “stuffed animal” or “plushie,” and it couldn’t suit him better, his snuggly nature and love of closeness reflect that perfectly He has a deep need for companionship and is happiest right by your side, soaking up pets, scratches, and quiet time together. His super-soft coat makes him irresistible to cuddle, and he genuinely enjoys grooming and affection.<br/><br/>Peluche does exceptionally well with cats and truly enjoys their company. He often chooses to relax in the same room as them, quietly hanging out and keeping them company. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has even helped show the ropes to a blind and deaf foster puppy. His loving, respectful nature makes him an excellent fit for a cat-friendly and/or dog-friendly home.<br/><br/>When he’s happy, Peluche is a full-on butt wiggler, with a short little tail (not fully docked) and a whole-body wag that’s impossible not to smile at. His expressive ears, one standing up and one flopped down, add to his constant charm and show off his personality.<br/><br/>Peluche can be a bit tentative when meeting new people and does best with slow, gentle introductions and a few tasty treats to help build trust. Once comfortable, he becomes incredibly affectionate and loves settling right against your leg or partially in your lap, content just being close to his person.<br/><br/>He is leash trained, fully house trained, and has had no accidents in his foster home. Peluche does well in a crate when his people leave the house but has also been trustworthy when uncrated.
