Peggy Sue's Story
Meet Peggy Sue!

Peggy Sue is the kind of girl who may need a little time to show you her full personality, but once she feels safe, you'll discover a spunky, sassy, silly cuddle bug who loves being close to her people.

Peggy Sue has been doing wonderfully in her foster home! She's both potty trained and crate trained, and she has never had an accident in her foster home. Even when her foster is away at work, she keeps her kennel clean. She enjoys spending time in a fenced-in yard and does well on walks.

Peggy Sue can be nervous when she's in a new or overwhelming situation, and she may pancake on leash when she doesn't feel confident. Her foster has found that gentleness, patience, and giving her time to settle in make a big difference. Her adopters should be prepared for her to need some extra reassurance at first, and she may even need to be carried in certain situations until she gains confidence.

Once Peggy Sue warms up, her silly side really comes out! She absolutely LOVES toys and would happily play catch all day. She's also a big fan of frozen Kongs with peanut butter, fruits, and veggies. Of course, cuddles and hugs are high on her list of favorite things, too.

Peggy Sue has met children ages 6 and 7 and did well with them. She can get excited but responds well to redirection and settles nicely. She also gets along well with her foster dog siblings, and she may enjoy having a canine companion in her forever home.

Peggy Sue is looking for someone who will give her the time and patience she needs to feel comfortable in her new world. Once she trusts you, you'll have a sweet, silly, affectionate little shadow who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Apply today!
