Hi there! My name is Pecan, and I am an adult (4 years old) male dog who is athletic, curious, playful, and super affectionate once we become friends. I am little, but I have the drive, heart, and soul of a big dog. I need an experienced handler, who can keep me busy with something to do. I am very athletic and would love to go on runs or hikes with you, and I might be a good agility dog. I would make a great companion for someone looking for a furry friend to join them on all their adventures; my curiosity will last as long as you need to explore new places. I love playing with toys, and I am eager to learn new tricks. I learn fast. I would do best in a home with no kids, but I can live with other dogs. If you can be a good match for me, I promise you that I will be your very best friend. We do a background check, vet check, and call the references the potential adopter has given us. Call the landlord if a potential adopter rents. There’s an adoption fee unless the bio says it’s waived, as well as a home check or virtual home visit. We can do out-of-state adoptions. If you currently have a dog and are applying for a dog who is with us, a meet and greet is also required.
