Pearl's Story
Pearl has been with HMR for almost a year. She came in after years of neglect and blossomed with the care and dedication of her Louisiana foster. Pearl is still having issues with drainage in her ears, our vet in VA is pretty confident after meeting her recently it is allergies. We have given her a Cytopoint as well as submitted a sample for testing. Once we know the origin of her allergies we will (and adopters will have access to everything as well) decide if we are going to have targeted shots made for her or continue on Cytopoint. HMR will cover the cost of a year of treatment either way if she is adopted.
Pearl is approximately 5 yrs old and weighs in at 70 pounds. She will do best as the only pet in a home but if another dog is present we think she will do best with a similar size male. Her first foster is a dog trainer so Pearl has had quite a bit of work and she is very well behaved. An adopter with GSD or similar breed experience would do best with her as she is a pretty classic GSD type.
Rides well in a car and is excellent in the home, no chewing or barking she is easy to have around.
Currently in Warrenton, VA and can be transported.
