Meet Pearl-ADOPTION PENDING

Whenever a sweet Pomeranian or Papillon mix gets into an urgent situation, Farfel's rescuers like to help. We find that dogs of these breed mixes are generally very loving, sweet and super- intelligent. They also fit well into a family.. making great companions and the ultimate house dogs. Sometimes rescue dogs are initially a bit shy, but put them in a home with a loving family and frequent socialization...and they will shine.

Pearl is just about 2ish year old. This is such a great age - young enough to soak up new skills and embrace positive reinforcement training. Fun new games like fetch, ball and hide & seek are great ways to work with any fun-loving dog. Pearl is mature enough to have left her puppyish ways behind..she has good house skills (and getting better all the time) and is respectful of her environment.

Pearl weighs 10 lbs of pure cuteness. Her foster mom has been providing her with 5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement to bring out the luster and cottony softness of her stunning coat. This gorgeous girl will require a lifelong commitment to sudsy baths and grooming to keep her hair cottony-soft and shining with excellent health.

Pearl's very loving and kind Texas rescuer sent the following report about sweet Pearl :

I was the lucky one that fostered Pearl and loved her up prior to her journey to Colorado. Let me start off by saying that she is an absolute doll! She will initially be shy and a bit frightened (very normal for a rescue dog that's spent time at a scary shelter!) but a bit of time, respectful loving and yummy treats speaks to the sweet soul of this cuddle bug!

Pearl has inherited the superior intelligence and beauty of both the Pomeranian as well as the Papillon breeds. She definitely has inherited the fun-loving/silly nature and cuddly sweetness (once comfortable in her new home) of both breeds. If Pearl is given the opportunity for positive reinforcement group training classes (with one of our approved trainers), given tons of love, socialization with both humans of all ages and other dogs...she will grow into a self-confident girl who will be a loyal and loving companion. Pearl has all the elements working in her favor since she's starting out with a sweet as can be temperament, a love of life and a desire to please those she loves.

Farfel's Rescue would like to place Pearl in a home with either active retirees or a younger family that works from a home-based office. We feel that Pearl will thrive spending lots of time with her family..enjoying walks, cuddling and backyard fun periodically throughout the day.

Pearl will shine for a family who is motivated to take her to group obedience classes to bring out all the wonderful qualities and loyalty that live inside of this gorgeous Pomeranian mix. These classes teach commands and desirable behaviors in a kind and respectful forum that enable a dog to go out into the community with excellent behavior. We feel so strongly about these training classes for every dog that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't choose a training opportunity for Pearl with one of our approved trainers. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force free trainers in your area.

Pearl will love her neighborhood walks (she's a very social girl), hiking the gorgeous trails of Colorado, window-shopping on Pearl Street to fine-tune her urban skills and being a very present companion all through the day. With feelings of security and love within the family, Pearl will learn the skills of being alone for a short time and knowing that her family will aways return.

Pearl has the stunning coat of her breed mix although it's shelter-weary right now. When her coat ultimately grows out, it will show the beauty of her breeds. Pearl will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming, frequent brushing and excellent nutrition (a 5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are always a great choice for longevity as well as coat care) to keep her stunning coat cottony-soft and very healthy.

Pearl will be up to date on all vetting and vaccinations We've requested that Pearl be spayed prior to her transport to Boulder, but we're not optimistic that this will occur due to too many rescue dogs and not enough veterinarians in this rural part of Texas. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Pearl to be spayed/microchipped after her arrival in Colorado if one of our rescue vets is used.

Pearl will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 2/10/2021. Applications are currently being accepted for this super-sweet and very devoted best friend and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested please fill out completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Pearl please be sure to fill out the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Adoptapet, Rescueme and Petfinder don't provide enough information for our purposes. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
