Pearl's Story

Pearl is an owner surrender at the Fayette County Alabama Animal Shelter.<br/><br/> Our organization Fayette Friends of the Animal Shelter visits the Shelter 3 times each week. We bathe pets, let them play and intervene if a vet visit is needed. <br/><br/>Our volunteers have grown to love Pearl and we are now in the midst of a campaign to facilitate her adoption. <br/><br/>We had a naming contest for Pearl and we had more interaction on Facebook than with any previous campaign. She was adopted straight away but the adopter could not let her live inside and did not have a fenced area. We think Pearl strayed while looking for her original family. All of us would like to have Pearl but we can't adopt all of the adorable pets... but we can advocate for them.<br/><br/>Contact us. We have a bona-fide pet transport service in Fayette that works with us for out-of-the-area adoptions.<br/><br/>Pearl needs to be spayed and we can help organize and pay for that if it is a deal maker/breaker. We would have to have it done locally as we have special arrangements with the local vet.
