Peanut Glynn's Story

*GOOFY, PLAYFUL & 100% LOVEBUG*

Hi, I’m Peanut!

My foster mom says I’m a goofy, affectionate, playful, outgoing little lovebug—and I think that sums me up pretty well! I’m settling into my foster home and doing great while I wait for a forever family of my very own.

One of my absolute favorite things is ATTENTION! I love being close to my people. I’ll lay my front half right across your lap and throw my head back and forth while you scratch and love on me. Apparently, it’s pretty adorable. What can I say? I know how to work a crowd!

I’m also a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. I love having canine friends and have a blast bouncing around the yard, hoping someone will take the hint and chase me. I even like tagging along when the other dogs go for walks, staying close with my tail wagging and my happy feet dancing.

Speaking of walks, I’m a walking kind of guy! I enjoy several walks throughout the day and can walk on a leash. I can get pretty excited and bouncy when I see other animals, though, so I’m still working on those polished leash manners. I’m a puppy, after all—I have things to see and friends to meet!

I’m a big fan of squeaky balls, treats and wet food. I’m not protective of my toys or food, either. I’m more of a grazer when it comes to meals, although I may speed things up if I think you’re interested in what’s in my bowl!

Did I mention I’m still a puppy? That means I occasionally have some puppy ideas about what qualifies as a toy. Sticks? Absolutely! A water hose? Well...I may have tried that one, too. I’ll need a family willing to continue teaching me all those important things a young pup needs to know.

I respect the fence, I’m not bothered by loud noises, and I’m comfortable being handled just about anywhere. I’m still learning my basic commands, but with my happy personality and a family willing to work with me, I have plenty of potential.

If you're looking for a sweet, silly, affectionate pup who loves people, loves dogs and approaches life with a wagging tail and happy feet, I might just be your guy.

Come meet me—I’m Peanut, and I’m ready to wiggle my way right into your heart!

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta's Adoption Policy
Great Pyrenees are the southeasts best kept secret. We are a magnificent and majestic breed that is one of the best dogs a family can own - we really are. We are gentle giants loved by all because we combine two characteristics that are hard to beat. First, we are terrific family pets. We are lovable and gentle with children - we love them even when they treat us like massive fluff balls! Second, and where we differ from most house pets, we are protectors. I tend to be the witty observer but my big brother Jenkins is a typical Great Pyrenees and he is amazing as he patrols our property watching for anything unusual. He takes his job very seriously. Great Pyrenees were bred as working dogs and our "job" in the home is to protect our "family". We have regular adoption days - usually every other Saturday from 11am until 1 pm at the Perimeter Petsmart in Atlanta, GA visit our website to see current adoption days
