Peanut's Story

There's a new sheriff in town and his name is Sheriff Peanut!

My story may be rooted in heartbreak, but I am confident that there is a happy ending to be written at the end. I sadly became a "frequent flyer" at the shelter, constantly being picked up as a stray and often waiting several days or even weeks to be picked up by former family. The kennel staff was absolutely heartbroken that I ended up in their care once more and was even more disappointed to see my poor intake condition. I was wearing a soiled human diaper that was likely kept on me for several days without being changed. Attempts to contact my family proved futile as they simply did not want to care for me anymore at my age.

At 11 years young I am full of pep and pawsonality and love nothing more than playing with my doggie pals. I have plenty of energy to romp around and be silly but also know to settle down for snuggles when it's time to relax. I am not just one of the dogs - I know how to be a friend to felines as well :) My foster mom reports that I am very well behaved around my kitty companions and am very respectful of their space. As a gentle senior I prefer not to be picked up or excessively handled, especially when I am not expecting it. A home with children ten and older who understand to respect my space would be best for me.

With over a decade of experience in being a good boy and giving love I have an outstanding adoption resume - give me the second chance I deserve and adopt me today!
