Peanut's Story

Peanut is pretty perfect! (Say that five times fast!) She is an approximately 3 year-old, 17-pound Chihuahua. She came from a loving home that sadly could no longer care for her, but she is hopeful that she can be someone's princess again. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Peanut loves to cuddle and burrow under blankets in typical Chi fashion. She likes walks and running around in the yard, playing with toys, and just being with her person. She is smart and curious and she will follow you from room to room in devotion - and maybe hoping you will drop a cookie. She is currently on a weight loss journey, so as cute and devoted as she is, her new person will need to limit her cookie intake. Peanut is crate and house trained and is good with other dogs - although she might prefer to be your one-and-only. She also gives excellent side-eye and has attitude for miles! Don't you need a perfect Princess Peanut in your life?

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
