Peanut's Story

Meet Peanut — a sweet, snuggly boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Peanut loves nothing more than cuddling up with his favorite person and soaking up all the attention he can get. He’s affectionate, loyal, and full of energy, making him a fun companion for someone who enjoys an active, playful pup. Peanut gets along well with other dogs, but he can become a little jealous when it comes to sharing his human and definitely prefers being the center of attention.

Like many young or energetic dogs, Peanut is still working on his manners and can throw little “temper tantrums” when things don’t go his way. With structure, consistency, and continued training, he has so much potential to grow into an amazing companion. Because he thrives on one-on-one attention, Peanut would likely do best as the only dog in the home where he can truly shine.

Peanut may need a little extra patience and time to learn to trust when first coming into a new home, but once he feels safe and comfortable, he bonds deeply with his person. If you’re looking for a cuddly best friend with lots of love to give and don’t mind a little sass along the way, Peanut may be your perfect match!

Peanut is approximately 1-2 years and weighs 10-12 lbs. He is neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped. To express interest in Peanut, please go to wecareforanimals.org to complete our Adoption Interest Form and Peanut's foster will be in touch. Peanut's adoption fee is $150.
