Peanut's Story
Peanut is about 3 yrs old and weighs about 14 Lbs. He was found as a stray in KY and ended up in a shelter where he was super scared, unfortunately no one claimed him. One of our partners in Ky was there picking up another dog for us and just couldn't leave him there scared and shaking so she got him out too. Right now Peanut is being fostered in the city and is adjusting to all the noises. Initially he was fostered in the country. His foster mom wrote the following bio and shared pictures and a video:

Peanut is a big cuddler! He will give you hugs and kisses or just sit quietly beside you. He is just a wonderful companion and good boy who wants to please and be your shadow. Peanut is nervous in a new environment and needs patience and time to adjust. He will need about 3 weeks to relax and feel at home. He needs patience to learn a new environment and should be introduced slowly to new things and new people. He hasn’t been around kids, so that will have to be tested. However, he is good with dogs and a confident dog in the house will be a bonus to show him the ropes. He loves to sit in the window and watch the world go by and does not bark! Peanut loves the bed but is also happy to sleep in the crate. He just started walking on the leash which is a little scary for him but consistent walking will help . He can walk for miles or go on a short walk—he’s happy as long as he’s with his main person. He’s an all-around great boy with a quirky personality. He enjoys his zoomies from couches to the bed or a run in and out of the yard and then snuggles up for a nap - he is not high energy and would also be suitable for apartment living with regular walks.

Patience is key for Peanut thriving and would prefer a home with quiet and low traffic.

If interested in giving Peanut a home, please fill out an application on our website cryforhelprescue.com.
