Peaches's Story

Meet Peaches 🐾🐾

Peaches is a peach! She is a beautiful Great Pyrenees with a possible blend that is roughly 70 pounds of sweetness. She walks great on a leash and wants pets from every one she sees. In true Pyrenees fashion, she likes to take her time and can hold in a spot to watch her surroundings. She shows interest in other dogs she sees but hasn't had the opportunity to meet or play with any, as she is recovering from her spay procedure. She is great with kids and will take all the hugs and pets that they can offer. It is unknown how she is with cats. Peaches loves to be in the same room with you and follows us as we move through the house. She does like her space when she rests, as she hasn't shown interest in jumping on the couch or bed. There is separation anxiety when it comes to being left by herself. We found that the indestructible kennel has been a big help to keeping her safe when left alone. Other techniques may work for her separation anxiety, but we haven't really left alone while she is recovering to find the what works for her. She does know basic commands like sit, paw, and lay. She has done well with going potty outside.

MORE INFO:
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, or scheduled to be if they arrived in our care too young. Each dog has been seen by our veterinarian and treated for likely the following (all various): Age appropriate vaccines, overall health exam and other alignments as they come up. All dogs are dewormed, given core vaccines (Bordetella, DHPP (3 of them if a puppy) and Rabies as well as all are microchipped and on a monthly preventative for flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

All of our animals are placed into foster homes so they thrive and the transition is easier.

If interested in learning more or meeting this pup, please fill out our adoption application.
The application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/JHRA/Dog

Journey Home Rescue Alliance | Apply for Adoption
