Peaches

Peaches is a sweet girl that needs somebody that will take the time to understand her. She is super cuddly, super soft, she loves to be carried around, and she's a great girl. She's not stranger friendly. She definitely takes awhile to warm up to people and needs a one or two person home. She can not go to a home with young kids. She is currently being fostered in a home with an 11-year-old boy and she does fine with him but it took a couple days for her to warm up to him as well.<br/>She is a Dachshund mix and she weighs 12 pounds. <br/><br/>Peaches was rescued from a high kill shelter, with her one baby. She was shaking and protective of her baby! Who wouldn't be? She was terrified. We could not leave her there and we swept her up to save her and give her a better life. She looked at us with those gorgeous eyeballs of hers! She is so happy to be rescued! Her Angel C. got her ready for her flight to us with #pilotsnpaws <br/><br/>Peaches is trying to move on from her past. We have no idea what she's been thru, but she is trying to put her best paw forward. <br/><br/>Peaches' favorite things are sun bathing, eating, following her humans around, and trying to be part of the family. She needs to learn everything. We believe she was an outdoor dog because she had to learn how to be inside the house. Now she's enjoying soft fluffy beds and blankets. Soft meaty treats. She loves chicken n rice! <br/><br/>Peaches loves feeling special so we treat her to Puppicinos in the a.m. She is learning to walk on leash, but she is nervous of loud noises at the moment. She's being so very brave! She is ready to face the world, but she will need some human back up. Another doggy in the house would be nice. She's best friends with Lovey Doves because they met in foster care and gave each other hope and friendship! A Senior Citizen that likes to go for walks and doesn't have many friends over would be ideal. A lot of scenerios will work but they will all require giving our beautiful sweetheart some time to adjust! She is worth every second that you wait for her to accept you. Once she dies, you will know no greater love!
