Peach D6462's Story

Hi, I'm Peach! I'm settling into my foster home more each day and learning that life can be pretty wonderful. I can be a little shy when meeting new people-especially men-but with a little patience and kindness, I warm up and start to feel safe. I might use my voice at first, but it's just my way of saying I'm unsure, not that I want to cause any trouble.

I really love being around my people and feel happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. Being left alone or in a crate isn't my favorite thing, but I'm working on building my confidence little by little. I'm also a bit of a curious girl-if something tasty is within reach, I might assume it's fair game! Keeping counters clear helps set me up for success.

I go on three to four walks a day, which has been great for practicing my leash skills and helping me feel more comfortable in the world. I'm proud to say I've had no potty accidents-yay me! I also have a dog friend here who I absolutely adore. He's been helping me learn how to trust, play, and just enjoy being part of a family. I still have some playful, puppy-like energy and love a good game-tennis balls are my favorite!

Because I can be a bit vocal with unfamiliar noises, I'd do best in a home without shared walls. At night, I'm all about cozy comfort-I love being close to my people, ideally snuggled right next to you in bed, where I'll curl up and softly snore the night away.

I'm a sweet, sensitive girl who just needs a little time and understanding to truly shine. Once I feel safe, I'll be your loyal, loving companion for life.
