PATTY POOCH came from the shelter and is a shy, fearful pup - until trust is built. Treats really help! Then over time, she loves her person and she will let them know they are loved. Patty Pooch needs a patient, committed adopter or foster2adopt willing to teach her and show Patty she can trust people and she's safe. <br/><br/>The rescue is willing to assist with one-on-one training sessions for a foster2adopt home. She is definitely worth the challenge and can make a furever friend and pet. Patty should go to a dedicated, experienced big dog person. She is learning to leash walk. All Star Fur Pet's Adoption Policy
Potential Adopters are provided an online link or applicants can also request a (pdf) Pre-Adoption detailed questionnaire to be emailed, for manual completion and return. ASFP will ask for a short video of indoor areas where pets are welcome to hang out, have access to the outside yard (terrace, patio, balcony etc), fence perimeter, video of yard and gate. Phone contact is then made to discuss the questionnaire (family acceptance, nutrition, exercise, vetting etc) and a follow up email is sent with comments or recommendations. If acceptable to all concerned, an appointment is made to introduce our furpet to the person. If it is a good fit, we proceed to do a home check. When there are other family dogs, we may ask to do a meet and greet on neutral territory. When all processes are acceptable, a copy of the Adoption Contract is reviewed and established.
