Patti is a 5-year-old Shih Tzu with a sweet but shy personality who will need time and patience to warm up to her person. She came from a puppy mill and is just beginning to learn what life in a loving home is all about. Patti is currently learning to walk on a leash and is working on going potty outside as she adjusts to her new routine. A secure fenced yard will help her feel safe while she continues building confidence. She would enjoy having another friendly dog in the home to help show her the ropes and give her a buddy to play with. Car rides can make her nervous, so she does best when crated or safely seat-belted so she doesn’t try to hide. Because of her timid nature, Patti will need a calm home without small children and with patient, gentle people who will allow her to move at her own pace. With time, love, and understanding, Patti has all the potential to become a loyal and loving companion.
