Patsy's Story

This lovely black and white girl was adondoned with another sweet dog Pippa several months ago. They have been gracious guests at our adoption center but are so eager to find loving, stable homes. It is honestly surprising that no one has adopted these wonderful dogs yet!
Patsy is likely a border collie/McNab shepherd/lab mix with such a big heart! She is probably over a year old. She is smart and very food motivated, which is helpful in teaching her new skills. She is playful and loves her toys. Swimming is a very favorite activity. She says let's go to the beach! Patsy walks well on or off a lead and her voice recall is improving. She bonds well to her caregivers. She loads up and rides great in a car.
Patsy is good with other dogs and people. She is a loyal companion and would be a wonderful hiking or running partner. Patsy will thrive in a home that will help guide her with clear, consistent boundaries and give her a chance for plenty of exercise and stimulation. She does not bark much, although she will alert to strangers.
Ideally there would be a dog buddy in her new home for company and playtime. Patsy should adapt easily to a home with cats as she has been indifferent to the cats she's met at our adoption center. A house without toddlers would probably be best for her. Although we don't know if she's lived in a house before, with consistent potty breaks and walks she is learning to keep her kennel area clean.
Patsy is about 50 pounds, spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and will be microchipped before going to her new home. The minimum donation for her adoption is $200.
If you would like to meet Patsy or her pal Pippa, please contact Companion Animal Foundation at 707-296-4629 or come to 3954 Jacobs Ave., just north of Eureka, Wednesday through Friday noon to 4 or Saturday 11 to 3.
Please share.
Let's find this sweet girl a home and family before winter!

Companion Animal Foundation's Adoption Policy
If interested, we have potential adopters meet the animal in person and fill out our adoption application. After reviewing the application, which are processed in the order they are received, as long as everything checks out and is good to go we will reach out to the applicant to either set up an adoption appointment (if the animal of interest is altered and ready to go), ask some clarifying questions if part of the application was unclear, or let you know that the animal is already spoken for. We require that ALL family members meet the animal prior to adoption. Once the kitty or puppy, cat or dog is ready to go- we do an in person adoption where we go over pet care, the history of your new family member, microchip the animal, and help fill out the registration information.
