PATSY's Story
Patsy – Smart, Shy & Full of Love Meet Patsy, a 1-year-7-month-old Blue Tick Coonhound with a big heart and a curious spirit! Patsy was found as a stray in February 2026 and briefly adopted in March, but she returned because she prefers to keep her bones to herself from other dogs in the home. She’s now looking for a family that understands her personality—and will love her for it! Why you’ll love Patsy: Energetic, independent, and full of curiosity Smart and responsive to basic obedience Loves daily walks, nose work, and other high-energy activities Crate trained and affectionate—she even gives hugs! Gets along with big and small dogs when introduced properly Things to know: Would do best in a home with experience separating dogs around food and toys Shy at first and wary of loud noises, but warms up with patience Loves giving hugs! Not suited for apartment living—she thrives with space to explore and enjoys “singing the song of her people” Patsy in action: When meeting shelter friends Gordito and Momo, Patsy took her time saying hello to people first. Once she felt comfortable, she began sniffing the other dogs, gave a few cautious growls when play got too much, and even invited Gordito to play! Momo’s larger size was a little intimidating, but Patsy handled it with confidence, showing she can get along with dogs of all sizes when introductions are done properly. Patsy is ready for a loving, active home that can match her energy, intelligence, and affectionate personality. Could you be the one to give her the forever home she deserves?
