Patrick's Story

Patrick is a mixed breed Lab puppy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He and his siblings — Bob, Mrs. Puff, Pearl, and Sandy — made the journey from Manitoba this past Wednesday night, arriving safely despite some serious wind delays affecting their flight. Their beautiful mama has since been welcomed by a rescue in Montreal, while the puppies are settling into loving foster homes in the Brantford, Ontario area as they begin the search for their forever families.

Patrick has already shown everyone just how brave and confident he is. He doesn’t back down when playing with his foster’s adult male dog and approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm. He’s adjusting wonderfully to crate life at night and has also been doing very well when left alone for short periods during the day.

This smart little guy is already learning the ropes — he responds well to “no,” knows “sit,” and is beginning to recognize his name when called. Patrick is incredibly food motivated but shows no signs of food guarding. He’s playful, affectionate, funny, and full of energy. He definitely lives by the motto “play hard, sleep hard!”

Like many intelligent working-type puppies, Patrick will thrive with continued training, structure, and lots of exercise. He’s athletic, eager to learn, and always looking for his next adventure. He also has a hilarious habit of nipping at ankles as you walk by — classic puppy behavior that will need continued redirection and training as he grows.

If you’d like to meet Patrick in person, he’ll be making an appearance at our Paint & Pet event on May 23rd at Pawtastic Pottery! Come say hello to Patrick and the rest of the SpongeBob litter — your new best friend might be waiting for you there.

Meet and Greets will be held in the Brantford, Ontario region. His neuter will be covered by the rescue at our preferred vet at approximately 6 months of age. Adoption fee is $900.

If you are interested in learning more about Patrick, send us a message or fill out the application form below:

https://form.jotform.com/201853389773265
