He walks beautifully on leash, is house-trained, and has a naturally gentle, happy personality. He’s also a major snuggle buddy — a total couch potato and cuddler who happily melts into any human who gives him attention.<br/><br/>Patch recently had an esophagus issue after he ate a rock and a sock for breakfast one morning, needing to get them removed at the vet in Puerto Rico. He’s recovering beautifully, and his vets expect continued improvement as he grows.<br/><br/>Right now, Patch’s simple daily routine is canned dog food served on a high plate or elevated bowl so he eats in an upright position. That’s all he needs, and he is thriving with this setup.<br/><br/>Patch was rescued from a feeding route — one of the areas in Puerto Rico where locals drive through daily to feed dumped dogs. He was one of the lucky ones we were able to take into our program.<br/><br/>He is now healthy, social, affectionate, and ready for a home of his own. Currently being fostered in Portland, Oregon, Patch is a sweet, resilient dog who needs just a little extra care with a loving family to call his own.
