Parker's Story

Parker has waited long enough.

Every time we visit Parker at animal control, we leave asking ourselves the same question: "How is he still here?" Because the dog we see today is completely different from the dog who first arrived. When Parker came into animal control's care, he was shut down. Terrified. Heartbroken. He had been abandoned and it showed. He would make himself small, avoid attention, and seemed unsure if he could trust anyone ever again. But over the last several weeks, something incredible has happened.

Parker started healing. Not just physically. Emotionally. His confidence has grown. His personality has emerged. And that famous pittie smile has started making regular appearances.

Now when we spend time with Parker, we see a dog who is ready.

Ready for a home.

Ready for a family.

Ready to leave kennel life behind forever.

About Parker:

Friendly and affectionate

LOVES other dogs

Sweet, sensitive personality

Award-winning pittie smile

Ready for his second chance

One of our favorite things about Parker is how much he enjoys other dogs.

Having canine friends helps him feel comfortable and confident, and watching him play and interact with them is enough to melt anyone's heart.

The problem? At the end of every day, Parker still has to go back to his kennel. Back to waiting. Back to hoping someone notices him. We would love nothing more than to welcome Parker into the Rover's Do Over family. But we need a foster or adopter first. Because foster homes save lives. A foster home would allow Parker to finally decompress, continue building confidence, and show the world what an incredible companion he can be.

Rover's Do Over provides veterinary care and support.

You provide the safe place to land.

Apply to foster:

www.roversdoover.com/foster

Apply to adopt:

www.roversdoover.com/adopt

Please share.

Because Parker has done the hard part.

He survived being abandoned.

He learned to trust again.

Now he just needs someone willing to give him the life he's been waiting for

Ready for his second chance

One of our favorite things about Parker is how much he enjoys other dogs.

Having canine friends helps him feel comfortable and confident, and watching him play and interact with them is enough to melt anyone's heart.

The problem? At the end of every day, Parker still has to go back to his kennel. Back to waiting.

Rover's Do Over's Adoption Policy
Every animal in our care is unique and special! We strive to ensure that the animal you are considering is not only a perfect match for them, but also for you and your loved ones. Adoption applications are processed in the order they are received. All of our adoptable animals have received age-appropriate vaccines, been microchipped, and are spayed/neutered. The adoption fees contribute towards covering these necessary expenses. If a dog has not been neutered/spayed due to its age, arrangements will be addressed during the adoption process. Every dog is accompanied by a rehoming contract, and if any circumstances change, the dog must be returned to RDO. We are committed to providing lifelong support to our dogs and their families, ensuring they receive the care & assistance they need. Once you’ve chosen the dog you’d like to adopt, please fill out the adoption application below or email us at roversdoover@gmail.com for an adoption counselor to contact you. Adoption counseling is available to ensure a successful adoption.
