Parker's Story
How in the world is this magnificent 95-pound marshmallow STILL homeless?!
This poor guy just traveled over 1,300 miles to Buffalo, New York hoping his forever family would find him at one of the biggest adoption events of the year.
He wagged his tail.
He charmed everyone he met.
He accepted every belly rub offered.
...and then he climbed right back on the Paddy Waggin bus and made the 1,300-mile trip back to Louisiana because nobody chose him.
We're not okay with that.
Back in December, Parker was literally dumped out of the back of a van and left behind. When we took him in, he was heartbreakingly thin, heartworm positive, and weighed only 78 pounds. He is approximately 6 years old.
Look at him now...
95 pounds of majestic fluff
Heartworm treatment COMPLETED
Fully vetted
Healthy
Neutered
Microchipped
Current on vaccines
Current on heartworm, flea & tick prevention
He is basically a giant walking teddy bear with a PhD in professional cuddling.
Parker LOVES people. Seriously... if you're willing to pet him, congratulations—you've just become his new best friend. Men, women, visitors, strangers... he is convinced everyone came specifically to see him.
Now... lets address the dating profile requirements because our fluffy prince has standards.
Parkers perfect home:
No small dogs
No male dogs
Large female dogs only, fluffy not required.
A securely fenced yard (5-foot minimum... 6-foot preferred)
Why?
Because Parker loves to wrestle, run, and play with big female dogs who can match his energy.
And because this giant fuzzball apparently has kangaroo DNA and has absolutely no respect for short fences.
This isn't us being picky—it's what sets Parker up to succeed for the rest of his life.
After everything he's survived...
Being abandoned.
Heartworms.
Months of waiting.
A round-trip journey to New York without finding his person...
...we refuse to settle for anything less than the right home.
Somewhere out there is a family missing:
a giant shadow that follows them everywhere,
a world-class couch snuggler,
a goofy best friend,
and enough white fur to knit a second Parker every week.
Please help us find them.
Even if Parker isn't the dog for you, SHARE THIS POST. Your share could be the one that reaches his forever family.
Let's make sure this sweet giant never has to wonder again if someone is coming back for him.
Located in Pineville, Louisiana.
If you're interested, send us a PM or email!
