Park Ranger Trout's Story

Introducing Park Ranger Trout 💙
Trout is a 1-2 year old, 50lb Poodle mix. This poor guy was found in horrible shape in the Cooper Rock State Forrest. He made his way to us, and after a good grooming, and a little TLC, is living his best life. This poor dude has a story that we wish he could tell. But were going to make sure he finds a new family who helps him forget that past. Trout loves dogs, especially his roommate Guppy. He would do great in a home with a puppy pal. He does not seem to mind cats, and is kennel trained. He is still working on his leash skills, and is working on potty training. Trout is a sweet soul, who is anxious when meeting new people, or doing new things. He needs a little reassurance, but is a brave boy. He has been started on some medication to help him manage his anxiety, but he is getting better every day!
Trout is a wonderful boy who needs a patient and understanding family. He will need training, and time to get adjusted to a normal life. But we can promise you that he is worth it. He is neutered, up to date on core vaccinations, has been dewormed, microchipped, given monthly flea and tick prevention, and is 4DX negative.
His adoption fee is $150 but any potential adopter still needs an approved adoption application.
HOW OUR ADOPTION PROCESS WORKS:
Our adoption application can be found on our website at animalfriendswv.org 👈🏽👀
Potential adopters can submit the application directly on our website!
