Paris's Story

***Paris is in foster. Please call Animal Aid Society at 757-865-0511 or email contact@animalaidsociety.org to schedule a meeting!

Sweet, snuggly -- super snuggly -- and more than ready for a home of her own, Paris will stop you in your tracks with her spectacular ears. And while you're busy admiring them, she will quietly walk off with your heart.
At two years old, this healthy girl already knows how to live in a house and be a polite roommate. She wants to do well. She watches for cues. She tries. Tell her she's wonderful and perhaps offer a tasty thank-you, and you will see her whole face light up.
Paris is strong, athletic, and enthusiastic about life. Toys are her favorite hobby, although they tend to have very short careers. On leash she is making progress and learning that walks are nicer when we move together instead of in negotiations.
In public she keeps her composure and brings good manners with her. At home, though, she would prefer to be your one and only. She doesn't go searching for conflict -- she simply believes the spotlight belongs to her, ideally while curled up as close to you as physically possible.
If you've been waiting for a loyal shadow, a champion cuddler, and a pair of ears that deserve their own fan club, Paris is ready to meet you.
Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!

PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

We require an in-person meeting prior to processing an adoption application. If you think one of our dogs could be a good fit, come for a visit! If all goes well and you decide to pursue adoption, you may submit your adoption application. Once your family, including any dogs, have also met with the dog you wish to adopt, your application will be submitted to the Adoption Committee for review. We estimate the pre-adoption process can take up to 14 days or longer. PLEASE NOTE: AAS is committed to finding the best fit for each of our dogs. For this reason, we will accept multiple applications for a dog. In the case of multiple applications, we will select the applicant that is the best fit based on the needs of the dog. Adoption fee for puppy/adult dogs is $300.00. Adoption fee for senior dogs is $150.00. We prefer that adopters be located within 40 miles of the shelter to facilitate post adoption follow up.
