This sweet boy is house trained, dog friendly, and even great with cats—making him a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes. Paolo rides like a dream in the car and seems to truly enjoy going for rides—he's always ready for an adventure by your side! Right now, Paolo is a little uncertain as he adjusts to his new surroundings. He was found running near train tracks, which likely contributed to his cautious nature. Despite that, he has shown nothing but a gentle and kind demeanor. With a little patience and reassurance, his confidence will continue to grow. Paolo is looking for a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and truly settle in. If youre looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to shine, Paolo may be your perfect match. As a rescue funded through adoption fees, we do not receive ongoing monthly support. Our adoption fee is $400 (excluding transport) and is tax-deductible, as we are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Transport can be arranged once the adoption is finalized, with a transport fee of $200. Alternatively, you are welcome to organize your own transport.

Abby Road Rescue Sanctuary's Adoption Policy

Submitting your application – that's Step 1 Step 2: Group Text Introduction We’ll start a group text chat with the dog’s foster or rescuer. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know more about the dog. If you'd like, we can also set up a video meet-and-greet through our phones for a more personal connection. Step 3: Virtual Home Visit We'll schedule a Google Meet or FaceTime call to virtually tour your home. We'll need to see common living areas and the yard—no need to show bedrooms. Please have a piece of mail with your address visible during the call. After this step I will call your references. Step 4: Adoption Contract Once everything checks out, I’ll submit your application to the board along with my recommendation for approval. While the final decision is up to them, they typically go with my recommendation. Step 5: Final Details This step includes a conversation about ownership, adoption fees, any applicable deposits, and transport arrangements (if needed) could be 5-30 days depending on time frame.
