She may bark at people who aren't her primary person, particularly men, but she is not a biter. Once she gets to know and trust you, her softer, affectionate side comes through. She even enjoys snuggles with her foster's son once she feels comfortable with him.<br/><br/>While Pantera can be cautious, she absolutely loves being outdoors. She is actually a very active girl who loves to run, followed by plenty of quiet time to relax. Her confidence continues to grow with patience, consistency, and positive experiences.<br/><br/>Training & Daily Life<br/><br/>Pantera is a very active girl who loves running and being outdoors, but also enjoys plenty of quiet time. She is very shy with new people and can bark at unfamiliar people, especially men, but is not aggressive. Once she trusts you, she is sweet and affectionate. She is good on leash but is a runner with unreliable recall, so a secure fenced yard is strongly recommended. She is crate trained, does well with stairs, and is continuing to work on house training and basic commands. Because she can become frightened by corrections, she does best with gentle, positive reinforcement and patience.<br/><br/>Her ideal home will provide structure, patience, positive reinforcement, and a predictable routine. She does best when she isn't pressured into interactions before she's ready. Corrections can frighten her, so gentle guidance and reward-based training will help her confidence continue to grow.<br/><br/>Pantera may take some time to fully come out of her shell, but she is already showing that there is a loving, playful girl underneath her shyness.
