Pansy - Fostered in SE Nebraska's Story
Pansy is a ten-week-old beagle mix (with a likely dash of terrier or lab) who weighs about 9 pounds now and is expected to grow into a nice medium-sized dog, around 25–35 pounds. She arrived on March 31 and quickly made herself at home, confidently joining a group of much larger dogs by day two—running, pouncing, and keeping right up with them. She's fearless in that cheerful, puppy way—but always gentle.

She plays hard, then happily climbs into your lap for a serious nap, as if she's just wrapped up an important day of being adorable. Her soft, expressive eyes are full of joy—and also fairly persuasive when she wants attention.

Pansy is very much still a puppy—she isn't potty trained, leash trained, or crate trained yet—but she's bright, alert, and eager, and should learn quickly with a little guidance.

Her mother was a beagle mix; dad remains a mystery. Her siblings have all found homes, and now it's Pansy's turn. She has had her initial puppy vaccinations, will be microchipped, and will be spayed when she's old enough.

Why Pansy?

Because she's that perfect mix of:

Playful but cuddly
Brave but gentle
Silly but smart

In short, she's everything you want in a puppy... plus a little extra sparkle. If you're looking for a joyful, affectionate companion who will grow up right alongside you (and probably steal your seat, your socks, and your heart), Pansy might just be your girl.

Pansy is being fostered in SE Nebraska, about halfway between Omaha and Kansas City, and her foster is willing to help with meeting arrangements.
