Meet Panko! At just a year and a half old, this sweet boy has already experienced far too much uncertainty. He spent the first year and a half of his life living outside in a pen, never getting the chance to experience what it means to be a beloved family pet.<br/><br/>Thankfully, Panko is now in foster care and discovering that the world isnt such a scary place after all. He has happily settled in with cats and kids, and he is absolutely loving all the food, attention, and affection that come with being part of a family.<br/><br/>Panko was surrendered to our veterinarians in pretty rough shape. He has since been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. While that sounds scary, the good news is that his heart function is currently good. Hell be seeing a veterinary cardiologist for further evaluation, and in the meantime, he has started cardiac medications to support his heart function.<br/><br/>Despite everything hes been through, Panko is such a sweet, loving boy.
