Panda's Story

Meet Panda!

Panda is a handsome young boy! This sweet and social pup came to rescue after being surrendered by a young couple who had the best of intentions but ultimately realized they weren't equipped with the time, resources, and commitment needed to raise an active working-breed puppy. Our best guess of breed is a German Shepherd and Husky mix.

At nearly seven months old, Panda is still very much a puppy and is looking for a family ready to continue helping him grow into the amazing dog he is destined to become. He loves meeting new people and has a friendly, outgoing personality that makes him easy to adore. Panda has previously lived with cats and has done well with them. He also enjoys the company of other dogs, specifically those who are playful and tolerant of his youthful energy and enthusiasm.

Panda is currently working on crate training and learning the value of a consistent daily routine. He has a good understanding of house manners but may still have occasional accidents as he adjusts to a structured schedule. Like many adolescent puppies, he is still learning and will benefit from continued guidance, patience, and positive reinforcement.

He has done well on leash walks and enjoys getting out to explore the world, though he can still be prone to pulling when something exciting catches his attention. Ongoing training and regular exercise will help him continue making progress.

Because of his breed mix and energy level, Panda is seeking an active family that can provide both physical exercise and mental enrichment. He would not be a good fit for an apartment, mobile home, or any living situation where his activity needs cannot be adequately met. A tether is also not an appropriate option for Panda, as he deserves the freedom to safely run, play, and interact with his family.

Panda is at an age where the time and effort invested in him now will pay off for years to come. He is looking for a family willing to provide structure, training, adventure, and plenty of love. In return, he'll offer endless loyalty, companionship, and a lifetime of memories.

If you're ready for an active, intelligent, and affectionate young dog to join your family, Panda may be the perfect match. He's ready to find the family that will love him furever.

Panda is:
Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies
Dewormed
Heartworm Tested: Negative
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Scheduled for neuter at one of our partner Veterinary offices.

ADOPTION FEE: $375

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal's temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
