Pancho's Story

Meet Pancho: Your Shadow and A True CA Boy who LOVES the Sun
10 yrs 13 lb Havanese-Mix Redondo Beach CA

Are you looking for a loyal companion who believes your only job in life should be giving belly rubs? Meet Pancho, a 10-year-old Havanese mix who weighs a perfect 13 pounds and has a heart twice his size. Pancho is an absolute sweetheart who is entirely motivated by love, soft carpets, and being near his human.

The Ideal Day According to Pancho:

Pancho is a mellow guy with a medium energy level. His absolute favorite activities include finding a warm patch of sun on the floor, rolling in the grass during walks, and curling up on a cozy carpet (he prefers carpets to his actual dog bed!). He loves squeaky toys and is incredibly friendly on leash. When you go for walks, Pancho treats every stranger and neighborhood dog like a long-lost best friend.

His Perfect Match:

Pancho is looking for a specific type of home where he can truly thrive.

A Work-from-Home or Retired Companion: Pancho experiences some separation anxiety and needs time to adjust to his new home. He is looking for an adopter—potentially a senior adopter—where someone is home most of the time as he wants a loving companion.

A Single-Story Home: Pancho is has some visual impairment. While he has great hearing and navigates familiar spaces well once he learns them, stairs are scary for him. A home with minimal or no stairs is required to keep him safe and confident.

A Couch-Cuddler's Paradise: Pancho prefers to sleep right in the bedroom with you, dreaming of his next belly rub. He is not crate trained.

The Practical Stuff:

Pancho is neutered, current on vaccines (including rabies), and has no special dietary or medical needs. He is fully house-trained and on a great walking schedule. His adopter should use a belly band when they are not home during the transition period to a new home.

While he hasn't been around children or cats yet, his gentle, kind nature suggests he would adapt well to a quiet, predictable environment.

Adopting Pancho:

Pancho is a sensitive, precious soul who just wants to belong. If you have an open heart, a single-story home, and a schedule that allows you to be his world, Pancho is ready to fill your days with unconditional love.
