Paloma's Story

Paloma is being listed on our site for a fellow rescue. She is currently with us, but any applications will be forwarded to Love of Littles for review. BARK does not have the final say for any application submitted for Paloma.

From the owning rescue:

**MUST HAVE ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME **
**A PHYSICAL FENCED YARD IS MANDATORY!! **

Please read her bio before applying

Paloma is a sweet young girl who didn't get much of a fair start in life. She spent way too much time stuck in a crate, with little human interaction, learning more about fear than love. People weren't her safe place...they were just something to be scared of. She kept herself tucked away in her own tiny, lonely world.

But here's the thing about dogs like Paloma—they don't stay broken if you give them a chance.

With time, patience, and a whole lot of quiet kindness, she's started to come out of that shell. She's learned that “hoomans” might actually be alright. Now she doesn't just tolerate affection—she's starting to seek it out. In just a few short months, she's gone from shut down and unsure to playful, curious, and dipping her toes into the good life she always deserved.

Paloma is going to need a home that understands she's still a work in progress. She needs patience, consistency, and someone willing to keep showing her that the world isn't such a scary place. The kind of home that celebrates the little wins and doesn't rush her when she's figuring things out.

And let's be real clear about one thing: another confident, friendly dog is non-negotiable. She needs a built-in guide to show her the ropes and remind her that being a dog is actually pretty great.
Give her the time, give her the love, and this girl is going to turn into something really special. Just don't expect her to come in perfect—she's coming in real. And that's better anyway.

**we do not allow electric fences/halo collars, runners/tethers or doggy doors **
