Palo Santos American Bulldog & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Madras, OR

Palo came in as a stray and sadly was not claimed. We think he is about 2 years old. Shy and timid at first but warms up. Very much afraid of traffic going by and will do his best to hide. It is clear he has had some past trauma in his life. He needs to go to the best home that will provide safety and security for him to build his confidence. A kind and patient person who will take their time and let him come out of his shell .Sure he looks big and tough but that is just a protective shell. He is very sweet once you gain his trust. Does not seem to mind other dogs that share the fence line in the play yards and he did try to play a couple times. Somewhat food motivated but he hasn't been here long so it could be that he is still settling in and the traffic going by terrified him so he was not completely engaged with me. He is not quite ready to go yet as he needs to be scheduled to be fixed but a $25 non refundable hold fee can hold him until he is ready to go and that fee goes towards his adoption fee. If you are local, you may qualify for our foster to adopt program.
