PAL(DR)'s Story

Pal and her housemates, came out of a horrible situation in a house with no heat since Christmas. START volunteers were able to gain access to the house a week ago, and could only save some of the animals. She was seen on New Jersey News 12 happy to be rescued from a horrible situation. She was cold, tired, and left in a basement with no heat, and only a small blanket for warmth. She had no water, and no food. However, when greeting the police and rescue workers, she was happy, excited and very social. When she was placed in the car, with the heat on, she immediately went to sleep, warm and happy for the first time in a very long time! While she and two of the family cats were rescued, their other housemates were not so fortunate. Pal is now ready for a new forever home, with lots of love, comfort and HEAT!!! She is about 5 years old, healthy, very sweet, affectionate, just loves to snuggle and gets along other dogs and cats. Her spark for life, and love, will always make you smile. “NO WORRIES” seems to be her attitude, even though she’s been through so very much. Pal will do great in a home where the family is home a lot, as she really seems to miss the companionship when you are gone. She has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and on prevention, has had a dental cleaning, microchipped and is all ready for her new forever home!!! Although her life was miserable for a long time, we are hoping to change that as quickly as possible because this old girl deserves it now!! If you are interested in meeting these pets, please call Debbie, at 973-785-1245 ext. #5, or email her at startadoptions@aol.com.
