Pal's Story

Pal is a wonder of a dog. Why? He was thrown from a vehicle and the witness to the event stopped to see if the ball of fur was alive. He was and he was taken to the shelter thinking he would be attended to without vast vet bills. Unfortunately the shelter believed him to be too "damaged" to manage and he was placed on fast track for euthanasia. We saw his plight and pulled him to go for a vet evaluation and treatment if that was possible.
Poor Pal was not irreparable, he had a concussion, head trauma with lacerations and deficits that he recovered from in the week of care. He was very wary of humans, though. He went to boarding with his friend Reggie and then made the trip to us here in Washington State.
Pal immediately loved us, not so much other humans. He is kind and super friendly but given his treatment very stand offish around most people. His huge heart showed me he had the makings of an extraordinary companion animal. After he was all healed and ready for being pushed a bit around people he became an emotional support dog for a disabled man. He goes everywhere on buses, walking, to stores, meetings, movies....you get the picture. He has grown to love meeting people and people Pal. He's ready to move from his foster role to a forever home.
Pal will care for you with devotion. He has learned to trust and love people again, a real miracle for a young abused boy. He has a spirit of resilience and bravery. He trusts again and is loyal and obedient. He never messes in the house, walks well on a leash, has recall off leash and loves to go do anything you are up for. He is a very nice size and has a playful loving personality that will charm you and everyone he meets.
Pal would love to find an active fun home with people who would love him as much as he loves you. He likes all sizes and types of humans and loves car rides and adventure. He's really just become the perfect companion animal. Let's get Pal to his forever family. He's worked hard and become a blessing you will cherish as a family member forever.
