Pajama Party's Story
Pajama Party was found on July 9 by animal control so not much is presently known about him. He is quite underweight and had kennel cough symptoms but recovered with treatment and completed his doxy on 7/29. He is up to date on rabies, distemper/parvovirus, bordatella and tested heart worm negative. He does well with the vet and does not resist handling for blood draw or vaccinations.

friendly with all staff so far, food test- he ate faster but no growling or anything. For high value food item test he resisted letting go but would trade for something else. Did well for dog testing overall friendly and playful, needs to learn manners, he pawed the other dogs a lot. PJ was in a play group with two husky dogs and was a little rude with his doggy manners; he definitely is capable of learning better interaction skills from other dogs.
Evaluator notes: PJ ( our nickname for him ) is a sweet pup. He is high energy and playful. His manners are lacking but with patience and attention, we think he will become a GREAT dog! He has that silly Rottie personality and wants to be loved. He is a bit underweight but that can be remedied with time. He is tall (his head is at mid thigh) and his paws are large so we believe he will be a big guy at full maturity. He does very well with men and women and was ready to play with a male dog. PJ came to us immediately and did try to jump because he hasn't been taught manners yet. He took treats out of our hand nicely. Physically he looks very healthy except for being underweight. PJ will listen to sit and down with treats. He does pull on the leash but takes a slip lead well. He is strong even at his current weight. PJ was mainly interested in a rope toy vs other toys and did play tug of war nicely. He did not have a problem with noise and no reaction with a hand lifted over his head. PJ is a playful high energy puppy who is very friendly, curious and likes to be petted and enjoys his backend rubs! With some structure and training PJ will be a great boy!
