Paisley's Story
Update while at Foster Home 6/27/26:

Paisley Foster Update!

Paisley has been with her foster family since Friday evening, and they can't stop talking about what a wonderful girl she is!

She absolutely loves her toys and is great at entertaining herself when her people are busy or away. We visited over the weekend, and she did amazing! She was also wonderful with my calm 11-year-old niece.

The "quirky" side we've talked about? They really haven't seen it. Like many dogs, she just needed a few minutes to get comfortable in a new home. Before long, she was following her foster family around, cuddling on the couch, and making herself right at home.

She even tried sleeping in bed with them, but this sweet girl runs a little warm and prefers curling up on a comfy dog bed instead.

One thing they learned very quickly... Paisley is on a mission to defeat every plush toy she meets! She is determined to find that squeaker, so stuffed toys don't stand much of a chance. Tough chew toys might be a better investment for this girl!

2-3 years old
About 35 lbs
Potty trained
Loves toys and being with her family
Best with calm children around 10-11 years and older
Just wants to hang out, cuddle, and be loved

Her foster family truly can't say enough good things about her. She deserves a forever home where she can finally settle in for good.

If you'd like to meet this amazing girl, give us a call at 816-532-0070. Let's find Paisley the loving home she's been waiting for!

***************
Our quirky girl Paisley is still waiting for her forever home.

Paisley is a 2-3 year old, 35-pound Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix (our best guess). She's a sweet girl with a fun personality, but she isn't the type of dog who instantly loves everyone she meets. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time.

She can be nervous around new people and may need a few visits before she's comfortable. Once she decides you're one of her people, she's a happy, loving companion. She seems to be more comfortable with women at first, but she also did great with my husband once he took off his hat and gave her time to adjust.

Paisley is looking for:
A home with teenagers or adults only (no young children)
A home where she can be the only pet
A fenced yard where she can chase her beloved tennis balls and splash in a little pool
A patient family willing to let her settle in at her own pace

She's not a dog park kind of girl. While she doesn't mind other dogs, she struggles to read their social cues and doesn't always respond well when they're ready for some personal space.

Paisley isn't looking for a perfect family, she's looking for her family. Someone willing to see past her quirks and give her the chance she deserves.

If you think you might be the right match for Paisley, give us a call at 816-532-0070 to schedule a meet-and-greet. She just might steal your heart.
