Paddy's Story

Hi! My name is Paddy and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a pretty scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up, I was in danger of being placed on something bad called "the list" 'cause they were so full. Fortunately, BCAA saw me and said they would help me find a forever home ... yeah! I am a low-rider beagle mix (in other words, due to my short little legs I'm low to the ground). My foster mom says that even though I was a little shy when I first came in, it sure didn't take me long to figure out I was safe, going to regularly get me some good food and treats and that I even got to go out on walks exploring, something us beagle mixes live for! I about 2 years old so past all of that puppy foolishness, and at just under 22lbs, I shouldn't get any bigger (unless I get all of the treats that I want!). I have gotten along w/ all of the other dogs I have met and so far haven't bothered those things called cats that I've encountered. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding, although I would really prefer to be out and about with you. As I mentioned, I love going for walks and have no problem with being on leash which is really good 'cause due to my breed mix, if I'm outside of a fenced area I do need to always be on leash (we hounds like to follow our noses!). If you would like to meet me, apply at bcaaofnj.org
