Dog's Name: Paco

Gender: Male

Born: May 24, 2026

Current Weight: 3 lbs

Breed: Chihuahua

Energy Level: Medium

Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog.

Cat Friendly: Yes

Kids: Yes, any age

Apartment Friendly: Yes

Fence Requirements: Physical fence not required

Crate Trained: No, but working on it

Potty Trained: Not potty trained

Ideal Home / Adopter: Because he is very young and very small, he would do best with an adopter who has lots of patience, love, and time to help him grow and learn. He would absolutely love a home filled with lots of toys and plenty of attention! He adapts wonderfully to different environments and has the potential to thrive in many types of homes.

Likes: Paco's bed is less of a bed and more of a toy storage facility. He likes to keep all his favorite stuffed toys within paw's reach—because you never know when he'll need a play break between naps.

Dislikes: None

Paco is like a personal shadow—with absolutely no concept of personal space. Wherever you go, he goes. Preferably two inches behind you. And if you are sitting near him, you will be his new jungle gym to climb and jump all over.

All adoption fees include spay/neuter if you choose to return to our affiliated vet office for the surgery, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea prevention, and current heartworm prevention. Dogs over six months of age are heartworm tested prior to adoption. If you're interested in adopting, please complete an application at rescuedohio.org. Once approved, a meet-and-greet can be scheduled.

RescuedOhio's Adoption Policy
We have a single application whether you want to adopt a dog, foster a dog in need, or volunteer with our organization. Please note: Our application takes up to 30 minutes to complete. Our application is very detailed because we want to understand the specific needs of your home and match you with the best dog or volunteer opportunity possible. We require all adopters to complete this application in its entirety before discussing the potential adoption of a dog. RESCUEDohio application process: - Return a fully completed application to us. Incomplete applications will not be considered (you should receive an email confirming your submission). - We review your application, contact vet and personal references, and contact your landlord if applicable. - Next, we schedule a home visit with you. A home visit may be done in-person or virtually by one of our volunteers. All members of your home must be present for the home visit. - Next, we approve or deny your application and notify you. Check your spam folder as our communications are sometimes categorized incorrectly. - If your application is approved, we will forward your application to the foster family who is fostering a dog that fits your application criteria. They will contact you to set up a meet-and-greet so you can meet the dog. - If the meet-and-greet is successful, we will notify you and arrange to finalize the adoption. You will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee in order to finalize the adoption. You enjoy a lifetime of love and devotion from your new four-legged friend!
