Paco's Story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.

Meet Paco – Tiny Dog, Big Personality!

Paco is a 6-pound, almost-3-year-old purebred (small breeder, no papers) Chihuahua (turns 3 in May) with all the classic traits you’ve heard about—and then some! He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his perfect person.

Paco came to us when his previous owner got married and the new spouse was allergic, so he’s now looking for a fresh start with someone who can give him the forever home he deserves.

This sweet little guy is full of personality and love. Paco enjoys the company of other nice dogs and is friendly with people, though he bonds especially closely with his human. He’s what we lovingly call a “velcro pup”. He wants to be with you as much as possible and would happily ride along in a sling or cozy carrier wherever you go.

Paco attends Downtown Dog Enrichment and does great in a social setting (check out his video!), though he’s not a fan of being crated during downtime. He prefers to stay close rather than be gated away and he’s happiest when he knows where his person is.

Paco was pee pad trained in his old home and definitely prefers to use that method of pottying. When he has to go, he runs to his pee pad. Since this is a very ingrained habit and he knows he is being a good boy when he uses it, his new home should start with this method as he works on learning that good doggies can pee and poop outside consistently too! His foster mom is carrying him out to the back yard first thing in the morning as part of his training.

Paco also will insist on sleeping in the big bed with you and under the covers. If you try to crate him separately from you at night, he will definitely tell you all about how wrong that is, ha ha! He is okay crated during the day if needed.

Paco’s Ideal Home:

A house (no apartments, please—he can be vocal!)
No small children simply due to his tiny size
Someone who understands and appreciates Chihuahua quirks
A patient adopter willing to continue working on outside potty training

The Details:

100% Chihuahua personality :)
Neutered & vaccinated
Dog-friendly
Not cat tested (but likely okay)
Pee pad trained and working on potty training
Not a fan of crates or being separated from his person

Paco may be small, but his personality is huge—and so is his heart. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will adore you endlessly, Paco might just be your perfect match.

Adoption donation $300
