Pablo's Story

Meet Pablo, the adorable senior dog with a heart of gold and the kind of soul that could melt the iciest of hearts! This charming gentleman has weathered a few storms in his time, but despite it all, he’s still overflowing with love and a sprinkle of hope.

Pablo is the ultimate people-dog—totally friendly with humans, other dogs, and even cats! Imagine all the cuddles he wants to share as he slides into his beloved golden years, ready to be pampered and adored (because he totally deserves it!).

A little backstory: Pablo was once adopted from a local shelter, but unfortunately, he didn’t get the dental TLC he needed. After some time, he found his way back to the shelter as a stray, and it was clear he needed some help. But don’t worry! We swooped in and took care of him—6 teeth got their ticket to the doggy dentist, and the rest got a sparkling clean!

During his time with TUPDR, we discovered that Pablo has low thyroid levels. But here’s the good news: it’s super easy to manage with some medication that costs about $20 a month. No biggie!

Though Pablo is around 10 years young, he’s still brimming with love and joy! He adores walks, cozy Netflix binges, and is always up for a fun adventure. Seriously, this guy is down for anything!

If you’re on the lookout for the perfect furry friend—one who is loyal, loving, and ready to warm your lap—Pablo is the one for you! Come meet this sweet boy and discover why we think he’s extra special!

Due to his size & age, we believe he’d be happiest in a home with older kids or adults who can gently match his pace and understanding.

Pablo is currently hanging out with a foster family in Millville, NJ. If you’re interested in bringing this fabulous companion into your life, check out our website to complete an adoption application: tailsuppawsdownrescue.org! Let’s give Pablo the forever home he’s been dreaming of!

Tails Up Paws Down Rescue's Adoption Policy
Once you've completed your application, one of our volunteers will start the process. First we check your vet reference to confirm that current pets are up-to-date on the core vaccines - rabies and distemper and dogs are on heartworm preventative. We research past pets as well to be sure they were regularly vetted. We do this for all the animals we take into rescue and want to be sure you will do the same for them. If you rent your home, we check with your landlord to be sure you have permission to have a pet. We then call and interview you and set up a time to do a home visit. We just look to see that your home is appropriate for the type of pet you are looking to adopt. We then check your references and if all is good, you are approved to adopt! Our application can be found on our website at www.tailsuppawsdownrescue.org.
