Meet Ozzy Pawsbourne
My name is Ozzy Pawsbourne. One year ago I was saved by Dachshunds and Friends Rescue from a scary and cold shelter. They found me a great home with a daddy and two doggy siblings.
I thought I was going to live out my life with them but my daddy got sick with cancer. He had to go through Chemo and radiation treatments that left him really weak. I am a very big and powerful boy who enjoys my walks a little too much. I get very excited and pull a lot. I nipped a stranger on a recent walk (this was the first time) and my daddy made the tough decision to surrender me back to the rescue.
I just spent two weeks with a professional trainer and I am doing really good on my walks. I need someone who can continue with teaching me structure as I am still leery about strangers.
So in case you are looking for a new best doggy friend to adopt, here are some things you need to know about me:
I’m a seven year old, standard purebred wiener dude. I’m a mere 24 pounds. I’ve been neutered, vaccinated and vetted. I am super friendly with my foster siblings and I have never gone number 1 or number 2 in the house. I really love to eat. I even like my vegetables. I sleep in the big bed or the doggy bed and snore my head off. I’m a deep sleeper. Foster mom said she finds my snoring “annoying”, whatever that means. I’m pretty much a couch potato but also love to play with my toys. I’m a super duper toy shredder. I’ve been to the vet and I was told I have a mild heart condition. Doctor told me that I don’t even need to take any medication for it. I have a couple of small lipomas (fatty bumps). The doctor said there’s no need to put me through surgery for something so minor. I’m really not into cosmetic surgery anyway. My blood tests came back and I passed with flying colors. The biggest mystery about me is that for some damn reason someone docked my tail. I don’t even remember what happen. Maybe I was in one of my deep sleeps. So I have a little nub that wiggles uncontrollably. It’s actually very cute.
So I think I covered everything about me. I’d sure love to get to know you.
