Ozzy's Story
Meet Ozzy!
Ozzy has completed his heart worm treatment! He will need another heart worm test in 4 months to make sure he is in the clear but currently on the rebound officially!!!
Ozzy is currently doing very well and off all meds other than heart worm preventative related to his heart worms. We would like to see Ozzy gain a little weight and then will be all set for his TPOL surgery for his ACL. For the healing process of his leg surgery he needs we think it could be best if he is in his forever home for recovery so that he can heal without being jumped to another foster home.
Ozzy would be best in a home with no other male dogs but he is fine with females. He would be ok with a submissive male. Ozzy doesn't need to be in a home with cats or other small animals he has been tested and has quiet the prey drive especially when it comes to cats.
Before coming to rescue. Ozzy was in a car accident with his previous owner who unfortunately did not survive the accident.Due to this he is not an easy dog to have in the vehicle alone. He is ok with 2 people in the car but if there is a time an extra pair of hands aren't available he would be best to be crated in a vehicle. He isn't horrible on multi lane roads but when he is on a two lane road he will bark at all vehicles coming towards you and pace in the seat. Ozzy's favorite past time is chewing up leashes so leashing in a vehicle is not an option.
Ozzy is a super sweet boy! He loves everyone he meets. He will need a special owner as he will have to stay on heart worm preventive for the rest of his life since he has had a history of having heart worms. He is currently on Pro Heart 6 which is good till June and then would need another injection or be switched to a monthly Heart worm prevention med.

All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Please email us at HookedOnDobies@gmail.com, visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/savingdobermankind or webpage https://www.savingdobermankind.org to request an application, inquire about an adoption fee, or to learn more!

We do require a completed adoption application to be submitted before discussing details of a specific Doberman.

We DO NOT have a central location, out foster homes are located throughout our geographic region including CO, WY, NM and TX.

We strive to PROTECT the privacy of out fosters. ALL Doberman meet and greets are conducted in a neutral meeting location made by appointment only.
