This is our sweet and special senior Ozzy. He would benefit in a quiet home, with or without other dogs, Fenced yard, cozy bed and a person to make him feel safe. He is 8 years old, 45 lbs, fully vetted, dog friendly and beyond ready for his second chance! He needs out ASAP, this old man still has a lot of love to give. His adoption fee has been sponsored! He may be grey in the face but he still is active and spunky.

Blue Island Stray Dog Project's Adoption Policy

We have potential adopters fill out an application (linked on PetFinder or please email Blueislandstrays@gmail.com). Once we get a potential adopters application, we process background checks, vet checks, and reference checks. We like to speak and get to know the adopter to ensure a good fit and set up the adopter and the dog for success! Once approved for adoption, we like to conduct home visits when possible, and if a potential adopter has another dog in the house, we make it mandatory for dog meets with the other dog; sometimes, more than once.
