Ozzy's Story

Hi, I’m Ozzy — a 1½-year-old Brittany/Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing about 30 pounds, and I’m what you might call a gentleman in the making. When I first arrived, I was quite shy and unsure of the world around me, preferring to observe quietly from a safe space. But once I realized I was safe and cared for, my true personality began to shine — and it’s been such a joy to discover.

Now that I’m settled into my foster home, I greet each day with a happy heart and a wagging tail. I get excited when it’s time to head outside and love having the chance to stretch my legs and play. I have a fun-loving, playful side, but I carry myself with a sweet, respectful demeanor. I’ve done wonderfully with an 8-year-old child and have been a perfect gentleman when meeting other dogs, handling each introduction with calm curiosity and good manners.

I’m still polishing up a few skills, like full house training, but I’m well on my way — I keep my space tidy and do my best to be a clean and considerate housemate. I enjoy sturdy chews like rawhide bones and duck feet, and while I may not be into squeaky toys, I’m perfectly content keeping myself entertained. Beneath my playful nature is a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be near his people.

I come fully vetted — neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and on prevention, microchipped, and current on flea/tick prevention. With a little patience and continued confidence-building, I will blossom into the most devoted, loving companion. I’m currently being fostered in Albion, Michigan, and I can’t wait to find a forever home to call my own.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/699dc3e5552b55662a0c1f37

———

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder.
