Ozzy's Story
I'M NOT THE SAME DOG I WAS 6 MONTHS AGO...
Hello everyone, my name is Ozzy and I am so very grateful to be able to tell you my story.
I don't know why, but I found myself all alone in the pouring rain. I was literally starving. I don't remember when I had eaten last. I was exhausted and ready to give up. I was picked up by the local animal control and taken in. They checked me over and thru my shaking they said I was severely malnourished, suffering from dehydration. All of my mucus membranes were dry and had to be hydrated. They put me on a re-feeding program. I just couldn't stay at the shelter. I was so afraid that I didn't want to eat.
The kind people from Music City Animal Rescue saw me and took me in. My foster mommy gave me a nice warm bath. She massaged my nothing but skin and bones body because I seemed a little sore and she gave me small portioned, high nutrient food. I was just so happy to have someone love me that I snuggled up with her immediately. I got to meet other dogs that were nice to me, so they took me outside and showed me the ropes.
LOOK AT ME NOW!! I have been in foster care for about 5 months now just to make sure that I gained weight and all my hair grew back in. That I was neutered and received all my vaccinations and preventatives. They say I am just a beautiful boy. That I'm not the same dog I was and I believe it.
I still get along with my dog friends and even some cat friends. I'm eating well and going potty outside. I'm not much of a toy player. I'm very quiet and gentle. I don't chew up things and I do not have separation anxiety if you leave me alone but, I must sleep outside of a crate - preferably with my human. That's the only thing I ask. I still can't get over the trauma of being alone in the dark.
If I could be your special boy to love forever. To never have to worry about being cold, afraid or hungry again, please go to www.Musiccityanimalrescue.com and complete an application for me - Ozzy! Someone will give you a call and we can meet. I can't wait!!
