Ozzy's Story
*We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, September 19. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applicants from September 14-20. Contact us to learn more!*

Ozzy is intelligent, playful, curious, and up for adventure! He enjoys running and wrestling with other dogs, loves sniffy walks, chew bones, frozen food toys, and stealing the entire ottoman at the end of a long day.

Ozzy is highly food motivated, eager to learn, and already making great progress with leash walking, crate training, and potty training. He does have a high-pitched cry/howl that he saves for the first few minutes of crate time, but he settles down quickly. Like any teenaged pup, he's still figuring out his manners and currently believes his mouth is an excellent tool for exploring the world. Pine cones on walks, a sock left within reach, and sometimes even his favorite humans are all fair game! While his puppy mouthing is playful rather than concerning, he'll benefit from a family committed to consistently redirecting him and continuing to teach him appropriate boundaries. Since he can be pretty mouthy when excited, he'd be best suited for a home without young children. Older kiddos (aged 10+) who are comfortable with his puppy antics could be a great match.

Ozzy will thrive with an active family that enjoys training, enrichment, and including their dog in everyday life. He truly is just happy to be here! He's bright, busy, and ready to put that shepherd brain to good use. Give him an adventure, something to learn, and plenty of ways to stay engaged, and you'll have one very happy pup—with a pretty fantastic smile to match.

Ozzy is an 8-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $400 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Ozzy is also tested with other dogs, and working on potty and kennel training in foster care. He is not tested with young children or cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, adoption applications are processed within 12 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772 or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
